About the opportunity
Safe Metrics is a growing Australian consultancy delivering practical solutions across health & safety, occupational hygiene, and construction estimation. We’re looking for experienced Health & Safety Advisors who want flexible, task-based work alongside their current role.
This is a side-hustle style contract to start, with the opportunity to move into more regular or full-time work as the business continues to grow.
What you’ll be doing (task-based):
Provide specialist guidance on risk assessments, safety documentation, incident investigations, and accident reporting
Lead internal and third‑party HSE audits, support with tender and pre-qualification documentation
Developing and reviewing WHS documentation (SWMS, risk assessments, SOPs)
Conducting workplace inspections and safety audits
Supporting clients with WHS systems aligned to Australian legislation
Providing practical, site-ready safety advice (not just paperwork)
What we’re looking for:
Cert IV, Diploma or higher in WHS (or equivalent)
Experience in construction, mining, infrastructure or industrial environments
Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation
Ability to work independently and manage your own time
Australian Business Number (ABN)
